Attack (わざ Waza) is a collective term to refer to cards possessing the Attack keyword, found on Hitting Attack, Pinching Attack and Throwing Attack set order Mushiking collaboration cards.
How it works[]
- Attack cards have an altered card formatting, replicating how their original counterparts look with the Vanguard characteristics added on top.
- However, unlike Mushi unit cards, the modifications are purely aesthetic, and are not necessary to understand the effect of an Attack card, but can still be useful as a way to remember which Attack cards work with each Mushi.
- The Attack keyword works in a similar fashion to Operate: When instructed to use an Attack card's Attack, that card's Attack ability is put on stand-by.
- Currently, Attack abilities can only be used through the "Mushiking: King of the Beetles Machine" crest when a Mushi unit attacks, and they all follow the same pattern.
- If the attacking Mushi's Skill is above a certain threshold, the attacking unit gets [Power]
+5000 until end of turn. - If the attacking Mushi's Finishing Attack matches with the Attack card's subtype (Hitting/Pinching/Throwing), the attacking unit gets [Power]
+5000 until end of turn. - If the attacking Mushi's Super Finishing Attack is the one specified by the Attack ability (normally the Attack card's card name, or the card name minus the word "Super"), a unique effect is performed, which usually involves discarding additional copies of the Attack card to fully perform.
- If the attacking Mushi's Skill is above a certain threshold, the attacking unit gets [Power]
Tips[]
- Due to the crest's limitation, normally it is only possible to use three different Attack cards in a game, all with different grades and Finishing Attack icons.
- It possible to determine which effects can be applied to a Mushi unit by an Attack card simply by looking at that Mushi and that Attack card's grades and Finishing Attack icons.
- The first effect is applied if the Attack card's grade is greater than or equal to the Mushi's.
- This happens because all Attack cards ask for a minimum Skill number that is 10 points less than what a Mushi of that grade would have, decreasing with each grade.
- The second effect is applied if the Attack card and the Mushi unit have the same Finishing Attack icon in the top-left corner.
- The third effect is applied if the Attack card and the Mushi unit have both the same grade and the same Finishing Attack icon.
- The first effect is applied if the Attack card's grade is greater than or equal to the Mushi's.
