It is one of the “Star-vaders“, the forerunners of the invader “Link Joker“. Being a relatively new type of Cyberoid made in the past few hundred years, its appearance resembles those of humans a lot. "Selenium" is the by-product of the production of "Cyber Fairies", leading to its small size (smallest among Cyberoids). Its lack of combat ability is compensated by the ease of mass-production in short time, granting commanders the "resources" to execute human-wave tactics. Nevertheless, since the production focus has been shifted from this model to "Binary Star", there are only about one hundred of "Seleniums" in service, who are the products of mass-production in the past. No longer restraint to the need of mass-production, the compromise of abilities and armament on "Selenium" is removed. Recently, they have been re-adjusted from trash troops to skirmishers, enjoying reinforcement in burst capability to survive in one-on-one combats. Although they seem inferior when compared to frontline soldiers, fatal wounds await those who dare underestimate them.
Who are the Star-vaders?
The forerunners of "Link Joker", which is the incarnation of "Void" and the invaders threatening Cray. Their main mission is to investigate the indigenous creatures and collect the data of powerful beings, and dominate their bodies if possible. However, it is said that they would annihilate weaker beings in the process, finding their data not valuable enough to be collected. They possess multiple technologies that do not exist on Cray, and can manipulate the mysterious power "Lock" freely.
