Cardfight!! Vanguard Wiki
  • If your opponent has exactly two or three rear-guards, you will need to use other effects to retire at least one rear-guard beforehand, such as that of Blaster Dark "Diablo" and Blaster Dark Spirit (this latter can be called out with Fullbau "Diablo").
  • Use cards like Dark Dragon, Carnivore Dragon to continuously retire rear-guards and make it harder for your opponent to be able to leave rear-guards for this card.
  • This card is still a useful addition outside of Diablo decks, and it gives you a Blaster and Diablo vanguard to use support from those archetypes.

Countering[]

  • The easiest way to counter this card without having to retire your own rear-guards is to use G guardian. Two G guardians at once will usually be enough to stop this card's attack.
  • Even if you cannot call guardians from hand, you can still superior call guardians.
  • Do not leave too many rear-guards with resist because they can't be sacrificed.
  • You decide what to retire, so called fodder rear-guards to sacrifice.
    • As mentioned above, the opponent will be likely to use retire effects first so call more than 2 fodders.
    • In a Granblue deck, Cody the Ghostie is an excellent way to counter this, and in fact you can bait your opponent into doing that then bringing a Cody to surprise them.
  • In a deck like Hollow and Magia, you'll want to normal call some rear-guards that will stay in the field. You may also use effects that allow you to keep the called units on the field at the end of turn.
  • In Tachikaze decks, cards that refund your retirement will be very helpful, such as Louder Ammonite that revive itself, Assault Dragon, Blightops that search for shields or Collision Dragon, Charging Pachycephalo that draw cards upon retirement.
