- If you have at least two Three Star Chef, Pietro in your drop zone, consider calling them since they can unflip the cards in your damage zone.
- You can use Rough Seas Banshee to feed the soul without losing cards, but be careful not to deck out as Granblue's nature drains the deck quickly, and this card soulcharging drains the deck faster.
- Even if you don't plan to use the Megablast, this card's soulcharge skill is useful when combined with the Deadly units, and the +2000 power lets you hit 22000 with Evil Shade, pressuring even Majesty Lord Blaster and Chief Nurse, Shamsiel.
- At late game, when you managed to pull this unit's megablast, you can call as many as Rough Seas Banshee as you can, and draw that many number of cards for free.
- If you need defense, a pair of Skeletal Swordsman can be useful at both intercepting and distracting your opponent's rearguards.
- This unit's soulcharging ability can be combo'ed with Deadly Nightmare and Deadly Spirit, as they can soulblast to fill your drop zone with the cards that you wanted, further increasing the diversity of choices for Death Seeker, Thanatos' and Witch Doctor of the Abyss, Negromarl's skill.
- It can also put the cards you wanted to revive such as Captain Nightmist to drop zone from the soul.
