Shadow Dragon (シャドードラゴン Shadō Doragon) is a race exclusive to two cards in the Nubatama clan: Stealth Dragon, Dreadmaster and Stealth Dragon, Voidmaster.
Both Shadow Dragon cards were released in Booster Set 1: Descent of the King of Knights, originally to represent the presence of dragons with powers over darkness in the Nubatama clan. However, the Abyss Dragon race was introduced a few sets later, also defined as darkness-elemental dragons, which seemed to supersede the Shadow Dragon race. When Nubatama was given support in Booster Set 13: Catastrophic Outbreak, all of its dragon units were Abyss Dragons, suggesting that the Shadow Dragon race was merely an early name of the Abyss Dragon race and not meant to be something unique to Nubatama. The reintroduction of Stealth Dragon, Dreadmaster and Stealth Dragon, Voidmaster as Abyss Dragons in V Booster Set 03: Miyaji Academy Cardfight Club further cemented this fact, showing that neither of the two units were meant to be distinct from Abyss Dragons.
