Detonix Drill Dragon

"Detonix" (デトニクス Detonikusu) is a series of cards that include "Detonix" in its card name exclusive to the Narukami clan. The first card was introduced as a Promo Card, and later received its first support in G Booster Set 5: Moonlit Dragonfang.

Playstyle

The decks playstyle revolves around retiring the entirety of the opponent's field which is evident with it's two grade 3 units, Detonix Drill Dragon who retires all rear-guards present on the field including the players own when he rides and Detonix Stinger Dragon, a Break Ride that confers on-attack benefits to the the unit that rides over based on whether the opponents front row and back row rear-guard circles are empty, synergising significantly with Detonix Drill. The deck's lone supporting rear-guard, Hammerknuckle Dragon synergises with the effects of the archetypes members by being immune to the retire effects of it's player.

The V iteration of Detonix Drill Dragon rather than clear out the entirety of the field, [Stand]  at the end of battle and discards cards based on the number of opponent rear-guards still present on the field. To ease these requirements, Detonix Stinger Dragon is able to bind an opponent's front row rear-guards when it rides or is called to field and when ridden over, confers [Power]  to the riding vanguard as well as superior calling itself from soul, allowing for another opportunity to bind a rear-guard.
