"Dimensional Overstride" (ディメンショナル・オーバーストライド Dimenshonaru Ōbāsutoraido) is a phenomenon seen in Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z. It is considered to be an advanced form of Different World Ride, and it's made possible as most units on cray do not have the ability to perform a diffride.
History[]
A "Dimensional Overstride" occurs when the strong mental images of bonded fighters and units call out to and resonate with each other. The feelings on both sides reverberate, link together, and awaken a strong power "that even shakes the truth of the universe". This power was brought forth by the Messiahs and Zodiac Time Beasts, who watch over both Planet Cray and Earth, and are looking for ways to send units to Earth, as stated by Chrono Dran. While a "Diffride" is a contract of allowing the unit to live and take control of the host, a "Dimensional Overstride" allows the host to stay in control of their body, while having the power the unit gave them. Similarly to "Diffride", the unit is still inside the host's body, and a clan symbol appears on the host's right hand. It is unknown if "Dimensional Overstride" gives the host a bane such as with "Diffride".
If a fighter loses their future and G zone due to the effect of a Zeroth Dragon, they may regain it after performing a "Dimensional Overstride".
Although it is considered an advanced form of Diffride, it is unknown if players with a possibility to diffride with their "avatars", can also perform a "Dimensional Overstride" with their avatars.

- In Z Episode 23, Dimensional Overstride is written with the kanji "時空超越", which means "Interdimensional Transcendence". This kanji is identical to that used for the name of the first G booster pack, Generation Stride.
