Dragonic Blademaster (V Series)

"Dragonic Blademaster" (ドラゴニック・ブレードマスター Doragonikku Burēdomasutā) or "Blademaster" (ブレードマスター Burēdomasutā) is a series of cards with "Dragonic Blademaster" and "Blademaster" in its card name exclusive to the Kagero clan. The first card was introduced in G Booster Set 1: Generation Stride, and received further support in G Booster Set 3: Sovereign Star Dragon and G Booster Set 7: Glorious Bravery of Radiant Sword.

Starting from G Booster Set 11: Demonic Advent, the archetype changed to simply "Blademaster". This change, however, does not affect the support prior to this set, as there are currently no cards whose name is different from "Dragonic Blademaster".

Playstyle

Serving as the primary Stride Bonus unit of Kagero, Dragonic Blademaster is adept at controlling the opponent's field via its ability to retire any rear-guard when a G unit strides over it, complementing Kagero's G units that specialise in retiring the opponent's rear-guards. Dragonic Blademaster in time would be heavily associated with the Blaze keyword with most of its supporting rear-guards possessing the keyword and its Stride Fusion, Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Blademaster "Taiten" receiving an additional [Critical]  when it is in the blazing state.

The vast majority of Blademaster's rear-guards provide skills that provide stability to the deck via drawing additional cards and counter charging. Some of these rear-guards count the number of open (RC) on the opponent's field and increase their [Power]  in relation to that number.

Dragonic Blademaster would see a return in V Premium, possessing the distinct skill to generate a Vision Token, a rear-guard that is capable of performing [Twin Drive] .
