New Allies (新たなる仲間たち) is the 17th episode of Cardfight!! Vanguard: Season 1 in the Cardfight!! Vanguard Anime.
Summary[]
Aichi has difficulty pushing for victory, and his opponent gets a Critical trigger on top, bringing him to five damage. Aichi desperately needs to block the next strike, but is unwilling to leave his hand empty. He guards and Intercepts, but it seems insufficient shield has been gathered, until Aichi reveals that Gordon's skill allows its shield to rise by 5000 points during an Intercept. He proceeds to call Gigantic Charger, another new card whose skill was used to completely fill Aichi's side of the field, and finish the match with a Critical trigger. Team Three Blacks refuses to give into despair, and their next fighter appears - however, on Team Q4's side, Kai takes the lead. They both use Kagero, and the announcer and spectators seem to think it will be an exciting match. However, they are soon disillusioned - Kai annihilates his opponent without even breaking a sweat, causing Q4 to advance to the next round, and Kamui to become enraged as he was not given the chance to fight.

Aichi Twin Drive Check reveals Wingal (Grade 1/No Trigger) and Future Knight, Llew (Grade 0/Critical Trigger). He gives 5000 power to Gordon and 1 critical to Alfred. Kurosawa Damage Check reveals Dragon Knight, Nehalem (Grade 2/No Trigger) and Wyvern Strike, Jarran (Grade 1/No Trigger). Kurosawa's damage become 4. He supports Gordon (13000 power) with Elaine (5000 power), and attacks Yaksha (9000 power). Kurosawa guards with Wyvern Guard, Barri (Grade 1/0 shield) and activate Barri's skill by discarding Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Grade 1/No Trigger/8000 power) from his hand, thus the attack is nullified.
