Akira Ito (伊藤彰 Itō Akira), also credited in English as Akira Itou, is a manga artist, as well as the representative of the ARK Corporation. He is known as the co-creator of Cardfight!! Vanguard in collaboration with Satoshi Nakamura (technical advisor for Duel Masters), and the CEO of Bushiroad, Takaaki Kidani. As one of the creators, he is also the author of Cardfight!! Vanguard manga and Cardfight!! Vanguard G: THE PROLOGUE, as well as the illustrator/designer of several cards in the game.
History[]
Born on September 20 in Aisai of the Aichi Prefecture. Previously, Akira worked as an assistant to Kazuki Takahashi in Studio Dice, the creator of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. Later, he had the opportunity to work on his own manga, called Yu-Gi-Oh! R in both story and art with Takahashi's supervision, from 2004 to 2008. His drawing style is similar to that of Takahashi, which can also be noted in some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
