"Vortex Cupid"is the 18th episode of Cardfight!! Vanguard G and the 214th of the Cardfight!! Vanguard Anime.
Plot[]
At Card Capital, a boy named Ogawa cardfights against a girl who he falls in love with at first sight. However, the fight has barely begun when the girl runs off, accidentally leaving a card on the table: Battle Cupid, Nociel. With a burning desire to see the girl again and to return the card, Ogawa creates quest to help track the girl down. However, he doesn't know the girl's name, or any other defining features: only that she has a mascot doll of Olivier Gaillard hanging on her bag.
Chrono, Tokoha, and Shion take on Ogawa's quest and go on a wild goose chase around town, until at last they find the girl at a regional cheerleading contest near Card Capital 2. Despite the trio's encouragement, Ogawa gets cold feet when he considers returning the card to her. Chrono offers a solution: he takes the Nociel card, mixes it with four other cards, and tells Ogawa to pick one. If Ogawa picks Nociel, he must deliver the card; otherwise, Chrono will. Luckily, Ogawa chooses correctly, and happily returns the Nociel to the girl of his dreams.
Afterwards, Tokoha and Shion applaud Chrono for his actions, believing that he had offered Ogawa to choose from five Nociel cards in order to ensure that Ogawa would have to deliver the card. Confused, Chrono reveals that the other four cards were not Nociels, but simply his other Gear Chronicle cards, and Ogawa had just been lucky, much to Tokoha and Shion's chagrin...
