Fight Skin

Fight Skin (ファイトスキン Faitosukin) are cosmetic items in Cardfight!! Vanguard ZERO that change the character used during fights. If a fighter wants to use a certain skin, they can only use the clans allowed by that character. Some characters have two or more clans to play with. The normal fight skins are acquired when the first card of a clan is received. There are also limited-time only skins, some of which are characters in event-specific outfits. These event-specific characters can be unlocked even if the base model has not been unlocked yet.

There are multiple ways Fight Skins can be obtained:

When a clan is first unlocked, either when it first appears in the game, or during clan events.
Being purchased through the item shop, which contains a monthly rotation of skins.
Being purchased through the event shop during certain season events.

Main Skins[]

These skins are the base models of the characters that were first obtained by having their cards released through the Fighters Gacha or through clan events. They are sorted by their clan's release date. When Cardfight!! Vanguard G was introduced into the game, all the base skins for each clan become available, including the event clans. This is true for both veteran players who missed certain events, and new players who started later on into the game's lifetime.

G Skins[]

G Series skins are available to purchase using 1. They are not required to be able to use cards released in the G series (for example, you can use Aichi Sendou and Blue Sky Knight, Altmile). G Skin Medals can be purchased using real-life currency, or obtained through special missions.

Reissued Skins[]

These skins are base models of side characters that can be used instead of the main characters of their respective clans, purchased with . Previously, they were released monthly, and were rotated out each month. The skins were also of various costs, ranging from 50 VMedals to 200 VMedals. Now, with the release of the G Series, all Reissued Skins cost 100 VMedals, and are all available to be purchased. They are sorted by their first appearance.

Season Skins[]

These skins are of characters wearing seasonal- or event-specific outfits, that were originally only obtainable during their respective events. Now, with the introduction of the G Series, all Season Skins (up to Welcome Halloween Festa!! in the Japanese edition, and Valentine Memories 2020 in the English edition) are now available to be purchased for 2500. They are sorted by their event's release date.

Paid Skins[]

These skins are obtained only with the use of real-life currency, and usually appear for a limited time. These skins also tend to include other goods, such as items for My Room or card sleeves.

overDress Skins[]

These skins are cross promotional with Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, and are only available for a limited time, through three separate campaigns, volume 1 , volume 2 , and volume 3 . These medals can be purchased for 1000 Gems in sets of 10 Medals (any gems) or 20 Medals (paid gems only, limit of 5 purchases), with both sets also including 10 packs of the most recently releases booster set.
