Mai Tobita (飛田マイ, Tobita Mai) was one of the first female friends of Emi Sendou who attends Miyaji Academy with Emi and she is also interested (in a varying degree) in Vanguard. She seemingly has a shy yet sweet personality, and was one of the first seen using the new Neo Nectar clan as her main deck in Episode 51: Golden Glow. In Season 3, Mai has been shown using a Bermuda Triangle deck.
Deck
Her first decks seems to be primarily Neo Nectar with some Great Nature (such as Geograph Giant) mixed, with Maiden of Trailing Rose as her ace.
In Season 3, she changed her deck to Bermuda Triangle focusing on Soul-building methods in order to utilize Eternal Idol, Pacifica's Limit Break to the fullest in tandem with the new Bermuda Triangle PR♥ISM units.

Etymology
Etymology
- The name Mai is written in katakana (マイ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (舞, 麻衣 or 真愛), it could possibly mean:
- 舞 - "dance".
- 麻衣 - "linen robe".
- 真愛 - "real, genuine" (真) (ma) and "love, affection" (愛) (ai).
- Mai's surname Tobita means "to fly" (飛) (tobi) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta).
