"Giraffa" (ギラファ Girafa) is a series of cards that include "Giraffa" in its card name exclusive to the Megacolony clan. The first card was introduced in Booster Set 4: Eclipse of Illusionary Shadows, they received their first support in Fighters Collection 2015 Winter, and further support in G Technical Booster 2: The GENIUS STRATEGY. All of the original members are part of a Ride Chain.

This archetype's focus is on-hit effects that allow the user to Paralyze the opponent's rear guards through the use other Giraffa units on the field.
V Premium[]
In V Premium, Giraffa features the ability to force the opponent call cards from their hand as Rested Rear-guards, doing this reduces the opponent's hand size making it more difficult for them to guard the player's attacks and ensures that the opponent will have rear-guards that the player can target with their control abilities and make use of abilities that punish the opponent for having rear-guards in their field. The opponent's AUTO abilities cannot be activated when their rear-guards are forcibly called, denying them of any "on-place" abilities that could've been used. The series further take advantage their ability to force the opponent to call rear-guards by either Paralyzing those called rearguards rendering them useless, or gaining large amounts of Power for each card the opponent was forced to call.
Keeping in theme with its roots as a Ride Chain, Giraffa aims to gather its different pieces in the Soul and gain benefits for having many different named Giraffa cards in the Soul.

- According to an excerpt from June 22, 2016's CotD, "Giraffa" had become an honorable title for outstanding mutants with golden carapaces.
- Despite this archetype's famous golden carapaces, this series' name is based after the Prosopocoilus giraffa, a black species of stag beetles.
