"Hero" (ヒーロー Hīrō) is a race exclusive to the Nova Grappler clan. It was introduced in V Booster Set 01: Unite! Team Q4, and added to the 
Series counterparts of several units that did not previously have this race.
Heroes are generally costumed fighters, also described as "superhumans", that participate in Nova Grappler.
Playstyle[]
Heroes become more powerful the more damage the player has taken, using effects that increase their Power and Shield for each card in the damage zone or by using cards with very strong effects but high counterblast costs therefore requiring the player to be at high damage to make a powerful comeback. They can also boost their Power by having other Hero units on the field, this is also supported by using effects that protect their units.
