"Houzan" (ホウザン Houzan) are a series of cards with "Houzan" in their card names, exclusive to the Nubatama clan. The archetype was introduced in V Special Series 02: V CLAN COLLECTION Vol.2.
Playstyle[]
The core strategy of the deck revolves around Sword Saint of Invincibility, Daihouzan's 2nd skill which requires the opponent to discard a card whenever they call a normal unit to field if their hand has four or more cards. To facilitate this, all members of the Houzan archetype in the same fashion as many Nubatama units are able to return enemy rear-guards back to the opponent's hand, thus allowing for more opportunities for Daihouzan's 2nd skill to activate during the opponent's turn.
In addition, several of the Houzan cards are able to increase the [Power] 
, [Critical] 
and amount of drive checks the vanguard is able to perform based on how many of the opponent's rear-guards are present on the field.
