Kiriya Bidou is a character seen in each Season of Cardfight!! Vanguard Anime. He's the leader of Team Asteroid Brilliant Stars.

Kiriya has short orange hair, white skin, and fine, delineated violet eyes. He is considered "attractive" as a prototype "Bishounen", so he has a lot of fans.

Kiriya has several facets. He, like his colleagues, is quite narcissistic and a worshiper of beauty. He has confidence in his abilities and is proud of his position. He has great admiration for Ren, which shows in his nonconformity by the appreciation of it to Aichi, who fails to understand. According to Kiriya, Aichi is a weak person who does not deserve the interest of Ren.

Kiriya first appears in Episode 42 with the rest of BS, where they arrest Team Avengers. In Episode 45 he is shown asking Ren why he gave Aichi the Shadow Paladin deck, which Ren replies to by offering him the vacant spot in team AL4 if he defeats Aichi. In Episode 48 he fights against Aichi, but loses. Ren then shows that he was really just using Kiriya to test Aichi, and doesn't even remember his name after the fight.

Kiriya expected to receive Kyou's position when the boy was kicked out. However, the empty slot in AL4 remained unfilled, while Ren went off to give Aichi a Shadow Paladin deck; infuriated by Suzugamori's refusal to acknowledge him, Bidou demanded a chance to prove himself. Ren agreed that, should Kiriya defeat Sendou, he would receive the open position.

He failed. Bidou receives a second chance in ride 53--if even one of his teammates can display the capacity to best AL4, Kiriya will be redeemed as a Foo Fighter. However, Tetsu and Asaka put an end to these dreams.[1]

In episode 134, he is seen fighting Kyou Yahagi, although he wanted to challenge Ren. But the fight against Kyou started, so he had no choice.

Kiriya plays a Pale Moon Deck and focuses his efforts on Dusk Illusionist, Robert to soul charge units he needs.
