Mate Unit (メイトユニット Meitoyunitto) is a keyword introduced in Quick Start Deck ~Zero Ver.~/DZ Special Series 04: Stardust Blade.

How it works

• "Mate Unit" represents a continuous ability that adds two restrictions to the card possessing it, which compensates the high stat values printed on it.
  • That card cannot be ridden at all.
  • That card cannot be called, unless that card's master has a vanguard with the specified name.
