Not interested in joining? I'm surprised that someone who used the wiki chat enough to become a chat mod hasn't joined yet
No pressure though, only bringing it up because I think you'd genuinely like it. It's pretty chill, lots of VG talk + off-topic talk + memes, no serious drama so far, bots and admins cover all of the moderating but I've barely ever needed to even warn people so far. It's a nice place c:
It's a chat server that I replaced the old wiki chat with a few weeks ago in an effort to revive the chat and hopefully eventually the wiki in general to some extent. You can join through the button on the sidebar where the old chat used to be.
It's a lot like the old wiki chat, but has multiple chat channels to keep things more organised, you don't lose all the messages when you close it, it has both a browser version and an app version, and has a bunch of other extra functionality too.
When I found the series, I knew it was something that should be spread to as many people as possible. Because even though it doesn't speak to me, I know that there are people it woudl speak to. People who would value it and relate to it in ways that I just can't. And because it's so obscure, those people might never find it.As an educator, letting you hear about it is my honor. I'm glad I helped you find something you enjoy so much that you would thank me for it. Thank you.
I'm very happy to have brought this series to you, someone who I'm sure can appreciate it far more than I ever could. The whole point of my posting each month is to bring series that are significant to people who will enjoy them, or appreciate the message they convey. I'm so very happy that it speaks to you.
Just finished the first two chapters. I won't say I'm hooked, but I definitely like the characters, specifically Mawatari, Sanae., and Ringi. Certainly not because of hair length, no siree. The MC's pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to where the story goes, it looks like it's really enjoyable. Plus anything more than 2 tomboys is a definite "yes" in my book. Thanks for recommending it, I'll finish it when I have time!
Drew, the only issue I have with you is that you completely dismissed my suggested Shirayuki/Zanbaku deck, talked down to me when I explained my reasoning while dismissing it out of hand (despite it being a brand new engine that no one yet had the chance to playtest) and being overly antagonistic and abrasive. I don't care whether or not you disagreed with me, people do that all the time. It's your attitude that I had the issue with. Then you continue to dismiss the deck as a possibility because of the stuff that costs soul, even though you refuse to actually try and play it yourself and see that it isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.
Just to be clear, I don't have anything against you, honestly. If it wasn't clear that my post on CEO's wall was a joke in the theme of FoL's repeated posts (I also considered Kipory or CEO himself) that was never meant to be taken seriously. But since you apparently want me to talk about my issue, my issue is that I'm annoyed at your high and mighty attitude about a deck you refuse to actually play, and your continual shock that people are actually winning with it. Disagree as much as you like, but when you don't actually know any better, please don't pretend like you do and the other person is an idiot for having a different opinion.
I’m not refusing to test the deck I just haven’t had time. And yea, it looks like a terrible idea on paper. A card that costs 2 soul put into a deck that had previously used 2 soul a turn means your gonna be making some cards vanilla, which isn’t ideal. It’s a bad theory that apparently works in testing according to two people. I don’t think you’re an idiot and you’re definitely blowing it out of proportion
I haven't had a chance to test out Sukerock yet because I've been traveling, but it definitely looked like it could do a lot. The Grade 1s could use a boost in power for the deck to begin with, this could probably do it.
I didn't really want that TBH I was more interested in seeing how they would fare against decks that were actually meta so we can get a good sizing up of how well they do against things that are actually relevant.
Angels vs. Golds isn't exactly a meta-defining matchup.
I mean every deck is good until it runs out of fuel, it just depends on what "running out of fuel" constitutes for the deck and how quickly it actually happens. I mean, OTT is a monster until it runs out of fuel, if you consider "fuel" to be hand.
See that's great and all, but still ignores the fact that GP is like a double edged sword in the sense that you're selling away your hand for uber explosive gameplay. Sure, you can play conservatively, but why? Why would you do that?
Because you're a bad player, I guess? That wasn't the point of my comment, I was just saying that "runs out of fuel" is a metric that applies to every deck, and it's better to focus the comment to "GP doesn't have a reliable way of minimizing its fuel consumption" in the form of a consistent engine of advantage generation.
I think GP’s main issue is that your vanguard swings for 20k. At least giga Rex and Zanbaku gain some power. Same with navel gazer. I do feel that’s a necessity in standard. Deck has good plussing cards, but one heal is a two to pass once both players get going
I was saying that people who play GP conservatively like you were describing are bad. You were the one asking why someone would play the deck conservatively, and the reason I gave was because they were a bad player. I wasn't saying "you" were a bad player, I was responding to the same collective "you" that you were using.
The leaked abilities of Excilpate and Benon (the RRR G2 for RP) were incorrect. So maybe Zerachiel will be juuuuust enough to not warrant AF not-G3s to be soooo linear and uninventive. Oh, and the omission of another free heal.
Sad though that rummaging through that guy's Twitter may be for naught.
