Michiru Hazama is a character introduced in Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress. He is a former Under-20 World Champion who broke many records for being the youngest fighter, making him very famous. He is idolized by many, most notably Raika Koshiba. Fighting is his entire life, with all of his time being devoted to becoming stronger in fights, even his dreams while sleeping. He craves fights at the highest levels in the world that can hone his skills. Michiru is a close friend with Danji Momoyama.
His insert song is Vidhelvasti.
Appearance[]
Michiru has short lavender hair with bangs that obscure his eyes and 3 protruding cowlicks. Under his hair, his eyes are a gray color, framed by very long eyelashes. He wears a loose pink shirt and gray blazer, and light brown pants. He also wears dark socks and brown Oxford shoes.
Personality[]
In his initial appearance, Michiru has a mysterious and cold demeanor, not going out of his way to talk to others. He is antisocial and is often seems to be living in his own world, being a bit airheaded at times.
History[]
will+Dress Season 1[]
Michiru has been invited by Jinki Mukae as one of the Deluxe tournament participants, ranked the 1st Place in Group D, defeating all his opponents in the preliminary and quarterfinals then made it to the semifinals, where he lost to Yu-yu Kondo, preventing him from reaching the finals.
will+Dress Season 2[]
It is revealed that Michiru asked Danji to go to the America in order to investigate the Deluxe USA tournament there.
Divinez DELUXE Arc[]
Before Michiru fell into a coma, he and Taizo were not particularly close. Taizo saw Michiru as a goal to surpass, while Michiru merely recognized Taizo as a skilled individual. However, after Michiru woke up, Taizo actively reached out, leading them to start communicating via video calls. This eventually led to their cardfight taking place in America.
Michiru has once again been invited by Jinki Mukae as one of the 3rd Deluxe tournament participants, ranked the 1st Place in Group D, defeating all his opponents then made it to the quarterfinals.
Abilities[]
Michiru has the ability to see the "souls" of other fighters. In the will+Dress anime, these "souls" are depicted as a flaming colorful orb over a fighter's heart. It is unknown what exactly this means, as he is often cryptic when talking about it and no other character seems to have this ability at this time. In Divinez DELUXE Arc, Taizo assumes his ability is a form of synesthesia. Since waking up from his coma, Michiru can now see the "souls" of his cards.
Similar to Urara Haneyama, he also experiences bouts of harsh ringing noises in his head, that cause him physical distress. In will+Dress Episode 10, he is shown losing his balance and walking into walls as a result of this.
