"Normal unit" (ノーマルユニット Nōmaru Yunitto) is a type of unit. Normal units have a black card frame.
There is no specific requirement as to the number of normal units you must include in your deck during deck construction, but because a deck must have exactly 50 cards and must include exactly 16 trigger units, the other 34 cards must be a mix of normal units (including your chosen first vanguard if playing without a ride deck) and orders.
