Race (種しゅ族ぞく Shuzoku) is a property that separates the cards into a specific group, and printed in a box below the clan. In card text, the name of a race is mentioned within "<>". Various races in one card are separated by a slash.

Unique Race is a term used for races which can only be found in one clan or nation, while a Shared Race can be found in multiple clans or nations.

Unlike Sub-Clans, the races do not play a major part in the gameplay, but there are a handful of cards that have abilities to support a specific race.
