Shuka is a main character in Cardfight!! Vanguard Extra Story -IF-, and an elemental that resides within Vanguard. She is Emi's fairy companion and her best friend who is one of the Blaster Pair.
Appearance
Shuka is the light-skinned girl and has red hair and pink eyes. Her usual attire is that of a yellow top and hat with black shorts.
Personality
Her personality is that of a child more often than not; Cheerful and happy-go-lucky, while she can enjoy getting into various shennaigans and trouble, she does keep a close eye on her partner, showing she does care for Emi and looks out for her.
However, underneath that persona lies a sinister side to her as she has mentioned to Emi that in order to get what she wanted, she would sacrifice anything to do it. This is even more obvious when considering her relentlessness to achieve her goal to get a copy of Blaster Dark from Ren in order to fullfil her own ambition.
History
The Card Fairy Shuka from the Planet Cray has always been able to hear the voices of the cards of those nearly forgotten. When this happens, she would snatch the card and keep it safe for eternity. Because of her duty, she took Blaster Blade from Toshiki Kai before he met Aichi. This one change would warp the world into something unrecognizable to all. Noticing that the world was completely different, she sets out to find the cause and fix it. After taking Blaster Blade from Kai, she continues to venture to find what she would need to awaken Majesty Lord Blaster. She eventually meets Emi, who is down about her brother's sudden change. Shuka sits down with her and the two begin chatting when she is jumped by some of the Jammer's minons. She attemtps to summon a Vanguard Unit into reality but fails to bring it to life. She then finds that with Emi's powers, she can bring forth and even greater power than she ever realized: Blaster Blade. Once Blaster Blade took care of the immediate threat, Shuka explained that she corrects the distortions of the world and gets the timeline in order to preserve order and that Aichi's distortion needs to be corrected to return everything to normal to which Emi agrees to help with. The two then become the magical girl duo, Blaster Pair.
Through the course of their adventure, they meet Kouji Ibuki, a man seemingly unaffected by the distortions and remembers the true timeline, and Suiko Tatsunagi, one of the three idols of ULTRARARE and Norne Tatsugani's assistant. Together, they combat various Jammers who have taken over various people in an effort to destroy Vanguard and caused havoc. It isn't until the duo meet Mask the Dark that we learn her objective is to summon Majesty Lord Blaster no matter what would need to be sacrificed and she learns that in order to summon him, she would need both Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark. She then begins looking into Mask the Dark's identity when they are brought to a distortion involving Ren prior to the start of the timeline's main events with a major difference being found that Ren never met Toshiki Kai.
Mask the Dark, who would later be revealed to be Ren Suzugamori, reveals that he doesn't trust the two because Shuka is keeping important secrets from Emi. She retorts by stating that girls are allowed to keep their secrets but Ren continues to point out that the lack of trust is exactly why he can't trust them to correct the distortions. Ren eventually points out something called 'flower picking' that Shuka has done and that it somehow is related to the distortion. It is revealed to everyone that Shuka took Kai's Blaster Blade from him before he could give it to Aichi, causing the world line to become distorted the way it is now. She cries, not having known that her actions are what caused this. She, flies away, attempting to fix the situation by giving Aichi the card back, but Aichi takes the card and tells her it's worthless and captures her to lure her friends out to stop those who would interfere with his plans to destroy Vanguard. Eventually, Shuka and Emi reconcile and begin their fight against Aichi and his generals, only to fail at their power. They attempt to summon Majesty Lord Blaster, only for Aichi to transform into it and overwhelm the group. Once they wake up, Shuka, Emi, Ibuki, and Suiko wake up and watch Rekka and Ren take off. When the dust settles, both the Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark cards are in their posession, but Shuka notices that Majesty Lord Blaster is missing and becomes worried.

- In IF Episode 13: Crossing Thoughts, Parallel Paths, it's revealed that the distortions were originally caused when she picked Blaster Blade's card in which Kai never gave it to Aichi in the first place.
