Sybilt is the main antagonist of Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Season 2. An evil entity from the Planet Cray who snuck onto Earth and used Gabwelius's Design Force to create the Destined One cards, recruiting people from around the area to act as their heralds against Gabwelius's Fated One cards. They then created the Destined Showdown and served as its judge. Just like Gabwelius, they have taken on the body of a plushie to act as its speaker before taking over and possessing Nao Inabe's body as it's vessel. After being defeated by Akina and Fated King of Miracles, Rezael Vita Sybilt was forced to leave Nao's body and sealed by Gabwelius once and for all.

Sybilt's insert song is FATAL Finale.

Physiology[]

Unlike Gabwelius, who is using a unnatural connection between Cray and Earth to speak from Cray through a plushie, Sybilt has no physical form and is a spiritual construct. It can enter the bodies of anyone it wants to and can do multiple connections at once. While at the moment, it has taken the visage of talking through a dragon plushie. In the past, Sybilt did have a physical body. As they were originally a dragon but after suffering loss, they separated from their physical form. After possessing Nao, Sybilt modifies her appearance, undergoing a dramatic change that reflects Sybilt’s influence, now wearing a cropped black top with a high collar, trimmed with red accents while the top features detached sleeves that drape dramatically from Nao's upper arms. These sleeves are wide, adorned with red tassels and stitching, while exposing Nao's midriff, adding elegance to Sybilt's otherwise edgy attire and is dressed in sleek black pants, which are tailored but subtly split at the hem, with Sybilt wearing black high heels with a wide, deep red belt with silver accents is fastened around her waist, matching the red detailing throughout her outfit and wears Nao's original long, dangling red earrings that align with the red accents on her outfit.

History[]

Sybilt, on Planet Cray, used the power of mental corruption to deteriorate the minds of Gabwelius' entire tribe, leaving Gabwelius as the sole survivor. Gabwelius forced Sybilt to retreat to Earth. According to Gabwelius, after the battle on Cray between Stravairina and Griphogila, the bond between Earth and Cray waned enough for Gabwelius to enact a masterplan to enact revenge on Sybilt. However, Sybilt was one step ahead of Gabwelius, and was able to modify the summoning method Gabwelius had constructed and used it to create 6 new Destined One cards. Sybilt recruited 6 individuals whose desires aligned with the cards summoned, who coincidentally all connect back to the owners of the Fated One cards, and recruited them to join their team of fighters. Kuon would call the Akina and the others back to the Hakusan Stage, to introduce Sylbit along with the rest of owners of the Destined One cards, and to start the first battle of the Destined Showdown.

It was later revealed in DZS2 Episode 4: Taboo and Protection, Truth of the Wish that Sybilt failed to possess Jinki Mukae due to Gui's intervention. Gabwelius stated that for Sybilt to overwrite his summoning method a trap must be set before hand before the Design Force is gathered. Which later led Jinki to believe that the trap was activated because Sybilt has possessed someone during the events of the Fated Clash. This theory would later become a terrifying reality following the end of the Destined Showdown at DZS2 Episode 9: Upon Those Who Reach Out. After all the Design Force was collected from both the Destined One and the Fated One cards. A plan enacted by Jinki and Masanori Iseki prevented Sybilt from escaping and caused its plushie speaker to fall to the ground. But the plan to stop Sybilt was for nothing when Hikari Myodo (Future) fell to the ground, revealing that she was the one being possessed by Sybilt as she went forward to take the design force that was gathered. After Sybilt left her body, reappearing as a giant spirit, it mocked Gabwelius for his failed attempt to stop it. After this revelation Sybilt blamed Nao Inabe before performing a forced takeover of Nao's body and later revealing the card that contained Sybilt's power was chained to Nao's backpack. Sybilt revealed that it separated its soul into two and developed a summoning method to transfer its power through a card on Earth to allow Sybilt's soul to reach Earth.

Everything would become clear in DZS2 Episode 10: Descent of The Fated King, during that fateful camping trip, Sybilt lured Hikari Myodo into the ruins where its soul and the card it used to reach earth was hiding. After Sybilt possessed Hikari, Akina managed to find Hikari but it was too late as Sybilt have already possessed her, leaving Akina in shock. Not long after the ruins itself started collapsing over around them not until Nao Inabe stepped in to get Hikari and Akina out. Before Sybilt could get the card it created, it got exhausted and caused Hikari to faint forcing everyone to leave the ruins. After Hikari was taken to the hospital, Nao forgotten to pass back the card in the ruins to Hikari (but it was Sybilt's card in the first place anyways) and she hangs on to it till the day she meets Hikari again. But for some reason Hikari and Nao would not recall anything that happen in that ruins while Akina could not figure out what happened on that day. Sybilt would stay inside HIkari while feeding on her life force for 10 years straight while waiting to be resurrected. Later Sybilt would mock Akina after he displayed his anger after he realized that it caused both present and future Hikari to suffer. Sybilt would show its digust by saying Akina never cared about himself and focused on helping his sister and other people. Sybilt would later go on saying that everyone is faking and killing their souls by not being true to their own desires. Sybilt would try to mind control Akina but he broke free thanks to his strong will which created the Fated King of Miracles, Rezael Vita card with his and all the remaining Fated One owners's Design Force. Sybilt then challenged Akina to the final battle. Thanks to the comradery of the other Destined Ones, Kuon was able to break free of the mental corruption placed by Sybilt and gain the power of the Destined King, Kuon attempted to battle Sybilt himself, but failed due to Sybilt taking over Nao Inabe's Fated One, transforming it into Unparalleled Drekasleif, Varga Dragres "Rakshasa". Akina would then return to the ruins after a talk with Future Hikari. Akina and Sybilt had their battle as Sybilt wanted to finally defeat Akina in order to have no one in their way of unleashing their powers over the world. As the battle raged, Sybilt argued that the mere fact of Akina fighting to save Nao was a selfish desire, stemming from a need to have her in his life, a desire in and of itself. While Akina at first does not have an answer for this, he continues to fight with all of his heart for a selfish desire. At the final turn, Akina was able to use Rezeal Vita's skill, and call upon Gabwelius's power to finish the fight once and for all. With Akina as the victor, Akina uses the power of the Design Force to force Sybilt out of Nao's body. Gabwelius then prepared the summoning ceremony and descended to Earth. Gabwelius and Sybilt had one final talk about the idea of desires. That while desires are important in order to keep living, there can be desires to take care of others. Sybilt reflects on Gabwelis's words as they recall their original Dragritter ally, Sperod, as Gabwelius sealed Sybilt once and for all.
