Tachikaze is a combo based deck that focuses on retiring the player's own rear-guards in order to gain Power and resources. Several units have effects that activate when they are retired during their owner's turn in order to turn those retires into more resources or recycle the retired rear-guards to use them again. The clan also introduced a new mechanic, known as [[Equip Gauge]]. Tachikaze's version, known as the "[[Armed]] Equip Gauge" ({{Ruby|武装|ぶそう}} ゲージ ''Busō Gēji''), reflects its theme of heavy weapons and artillery. Armed Equip Gauge is often used to give cards Power based on the amount of Equip Gauge they have or generate resources by adding the Equip Gauge of a retired rear-guard to the player's hand.

Tachikaze Emblem

"Tachikaze" (たちかぜ) is a clan from the Dragon Empire nation. The clan is themed around dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures and beings augmented with mechanical or artillery equipment. It is the elite ground assault troops of the dragon nation.

Playstyle

Tachikaze is based on the mechanic of Equip Gauges, named "Armed Equip Gauge" (武装ぶそう ゲージ Busō Gēji), reflects its theme of heavy weapons and artillery. Equip Gauges are stacked behind the player's rear-guards to then be used for a variety of purposes, common uses include gaining Power, generate resources, discard them as costs, activating stronger abilities if a rear-guard has a certain amount of gauges stacked beneath it, among others. Some abilities allow the moving of Equip Gauges between different rear-guards to better manage their usage.

Additionally, some of the units in the clan can retire other rear-guards as a cost to gain more Power and draw more cards, this works in tandem with rear-guards that trigger their effects when they are retired to recycle or replace themselves.

Tachikaze has the Accel Imaginary Gift, which allows them to have more rear-guards to arm and attack with.
