"Union Verse" (ユニオンヴァース Yunion Vāsu) is a clan from the nation of Star Gate, currently exclusive to the Cardfight!! Vanguard Shooting Star and Another Vanguard: Star Road Asuka manga series. It is described in Star Road Asuka as a clan of galactic wanderers.
Background[]
The Phantasm galaxy "Union Verse" gathers phantasmic energy from the whole universe. There phantasmic living-beings, obtaining souls of their own, lived there in peace. However, their home was destroyed in an assault by the "Phantasm-Eating Great Demon Beast (幻想を喰らう大魔獣)". Having lost their home, the phantasmic living-beings became galactic wanderers. The "People of Union Verse" who continue traveling harbor the power of various universes in their bodies. And at the end of the journey they knew. The next target of the Great Demon Beast was the world called "Planet Cray".
The people of Union Verse are divided into six factions. Currently, only the following two factions are confirmed by Cray.
- Light of the sky and Phantasm of Hope, the Hero of the "Star Road (星導 Seidō)".
- Fable of darkness and Phantasm of Fear, the Demon of the "Nothingness Road (無導 Mudō)".

Although Union Verse is considered to be a part of Star Gate, each of its factions are affiliated with a different nation meaning that they potentially belong to multiple nations (The Star Road faction belongs to both the United Sanctuary and Star Gate).
Playstyle[]
The clan's main focus appears to be the manipulation of their vanguard's critical in order to activate powerful effects. These effects differ between the factions with the Nothingness Road specialising in negation whilst Star Road allows massive offensive boosts. Also, if a deck contains cards from only a single faction then one card of the allied nation may be put into the deck, which is referred to as the "Union" ability.
