Cardfight!! Vanguard Wiki

EB10-502EN-W-SP

Welcome to another Deck profile, this time we are taking a look at Duo, my favorite Bermuda deck to play. It is competitive, flexible and has an awesome combo found in both vanguard and rear guards.

The star of the show here is Reit. She definitely has everything you want in a Bermuda vanguard; innate bounce ability (that cost little) and a very relevant offensive skill. But what makes her shine is Meer, without her, Reit could not be as powerful as where she is right now. For reference, we shall call their Limit Break Skill Combination as; Eternal Temptation!

Starter
• 2 Duo Lovers Singer, Darling

Trigger Line ups - [8 Criticals, 4 Draws, 4 Heals]
• 4 Duo Grampus Turn, Shannon
• 4 Duo Pride Crown, Maderia
• 4 Duo Morning Charm, Liffey
• 4 Duo Tropical Healer, Medjerda

Grade 01 - 14
• 4 PRISM-Duo, Aria [Perfect Guard]
• 4 Duo Shiny Tone, Cikola
• 4 Duo Petit Etoile, Peace
• 2 Duo Beast Ear, Lu Lu

Grade 02 - 10
• 4 Duo Mini Heart, Rhone
• 4 Duo Kelpie Jockey, Syr Darya
• 2 Duo White Crystal, Ricca

Grade 03 - 8
• 4 Duo True Sister, Meer
• 4 Duo Temptation, Reit

As soon as you can Limit Break, do the break ride combo (Eternal Temptation). If you are ahead, the opponent will either be dead or you have crippled their hand so much it’s hard to defend your next attack.

Liffey. Unlike most Bermuda decks, this one lacks any ability to draw more cards (outside Rhone). That is why draw triggers are needed in a Duo deck. Not only you want to increase the chances of having a big hand, but also getting copies of cards in your hand.

• 2 Darlings? Yep, I run 2 of her because you really need more sources of bounce in Duo. Reit does a great job at bouncing units but she can’t possibly stack multiple bounce triggers just like Darling can. The opponent can also get fooled by attacking with a lone Rhone with Darling boosting from behind. Just grab another Darling for an extra 10k shield or prepping for your Trio bounce ability. She also adds to the soul, which is good for Reit.

Cikola + Peace. The Trios, your targets for your Darling bounce. Cikola creates crazy columns while Peace multiplies your hand size. If you happen to draw another Darling with Peace, then go right ahead and do the shenanigan all over again. Take care in estimating whether you be drawing triggers or not though.

Syr Darya + Lu Lu are the Assassins in the deck. I call them that because of the sudden burst power they make when they are called down on the same column, an instant 21k power. Make your Eternal Temptation even more devastating by continuously superior calling these two with Meer’s break ride skill. Lu Lu can also turn a bad column to a good one with Ricca.

Rhone. She is your Grade 2 vanguard ride of choice. Most often you only need her ability to trigger only once per game. She finds your Trio pieces and a back-up front-rearguard unit (Syr Darya). She shines during the early game but falls off at the later part.

Reit + Meer. This is what the deck is all about. Reach Limit Break and do your Eternal Temptation against your opponent’s vanguard. Able to Restand and can freely transfer triggers to rear guard if your opponent perfect guards Reit! Your other rear guards are protected from retire effects and can serve as extra shields too because of Meer’s massive bounce ability. Your extra Meers, Reits and Liffeys are your best choices in paying for Reit’s restanding ability.

During the late game, you can have your opponent waste a 10k shield just by attacking with Reit alone. Have her Restand and boost her with Cikola to make a 21k column!

Ricca. After you do Eternal Temptation, you have spent all of your counterblasts. If your opponent makes a mistake on hitting you once (5 damage), that’s when Ricca comes in. Call her, attack with her first, then let Reit attack + her bounce ability, bounce Ricca and you now have 2 counterblast ready to Restand Reit once more. She can also off-set the counterblast spent with Rhone during your early game.

There you have it. For something so kawaii they hit as hard as Nova Grapplers at a relatively lower cost. Having to discard two copies is nothing when you can drive check twice all over again. I have run different builds with my Duo over the course when EB10 started. Have made changes and revisions overtime until I have arrived to this build and in my opinion this one suits me the best compared to the rest.

Alternate Builds

• 4 Lu Lus. Maybe Cikola is not your thing then more Lu Lu it is, she combos just by being herself. She makes it harder to guard Rhone during the early game, letting you take another piece of Lu Lu easy.

Duo Clear Parasol, Kura. For instant free 2 counterblast. She makes Reit restand easier but at a cost of power in your attack. You may lose more chances in building 21k columns but she can still make a decent 16k+ column behind Reit or Syr Darya.

Duo Afternoon Tea, Parana. Although I’m not a fan of 10k attackers, she brings the pressure both early and late into the game. With her, you are never short of front row attackers (especially if they were retired by your opponent).
